Tim is now composing the original score for THIS SIDE OF THE TRUTH written and directed by RICKY GERVAIS and MATTHEW ROBINSON. Set in a world where no one has ever discovered the ability to lie until Mark Bellison (played by Ricky Gervais) stumbles on the worlds first lie which enables him to have the world just how he wants it... almost. The film also stars JENNIFER GARNER, ROB LOWE and TINA FEY. Due for release in 2009.

Tims co-written music entitled BALCONY SCENE from ROMEO AND JULIET is to be used as the trailer for Baz Luhrmanns new film AUSTRALIA (starring Nicole Kiddman and Hugh Jackman). Tim recently scored "Other people" starring Martin Freeman for channel 4. Just prior to this he completed composing the score on the short feature film Wounded knee directed by Emma Burge for Hayhead films and is currently working on a number of song writing projects. Earlier in 2007 he composed the score for the BBC 2 series Romans Empire (directed by Elliot Hegarty and produced by Ben Cavey for Tiger Aspect productions). Tim wrote the music for the BBCs spectacular production of Krakatoa - The Last Days, directed by Sam Miller, and Much Ado About Nothing, directed by Brian Percival, for the BBCs contemporary Shakespeare Retold series, produced by Diederick Santer. His other recent tv drama credits include ITVs Quite Ugly One Morning, starring James Nesbitt, diected by Sam Miller for Clerkenwell Films; and the BBCs live production of The Quatermass Experiment for which he provided a totally live as it happens score for the re-make of this seminal cult work starring Jason Flemyng and David Tennant. His feature film credits include Among Giants (Kudos/Fox Searchlight), starring Pete Postlethwaite, Rachel Griffiths and Lennie James; and Elephant Juice (HAL/Miramax), starring Emmanuelle Beart and Daniel Lapaine. Both films were directed by Sam Miller.

The song Kissing You, which he co-wrote and produced with Desree, played an important musical thematic role throughout Baz Luhrmanns cult 1997 movie Romeo & Juliet (20th Century Fox). In addition to being a featured song, an instrumental version was used for the famous Balcony scene. The film premiered at no. 1 at the US box office and was a huge international hit. The soundtrack album has sold in excess of 6 million copies worldwide and was number 1 in many countries.

BIOGRAPGHY
About Tim Atack
In the early 90s he toured and recorded with Oleta Adams and Desree, becoming the latters Musical Director in 1995. He did three world tours with Desree in two years, promoting the I Aint Movin album, which sold 1.7 million copies worldwide. It was while they were performing in Australia that they co-wrote Kissing You which Baz Luhrmann heard and later featured in Romeo & Juliet.

In 1998 Tim wrote, recorded and produced a number of tracks with Desree for her album Supernatural. In the second half of 1998 Tim worked with Desree as keyboard player and Musical Director to promote this album on her world tour. He has also featured on keyboards on live dates with Michael Kamen and Bryan Ferry.
